Fulton Oysterfest
The dates for Oysterfest in 2022 are March 3rd – 6th. Each year the Fulton Volunteer Fire Department sponsors this salute to the tasty treat found in our local waters. Activities you’ll find at Oysterfest include carnival rides, games, food, an oyster eating contest, live music, unique vendor booths, and most of all – FUN!
Oysterfest officials have been working with seafood sources along the Texas Gulf Coast to locate the freshest oysters and other seafood for the event as well as the most popular entertainment. The 100% volunteer department is funded primarily through your support during Oysterfest
Babes on the Bay
Babes on the Bay, an all‑women’s fishing tournament, began in 2000. This year’s event takes place on May 13th and 14th. The tournament is hosted and run by the CCA Texas Aransas Bay Chapter, based in Rockport, Texas. The tournament was created to help educate women about the sport of saltwater fishing in a conservation‑minded approach. Participants are encouraged to keep only the fish they need. The event offers an opportunity for women from across the State of Texas and the entire country to come together in a fun‑filled weekend with live bands, vendor booths, educational outreach by Texas Parks and Wildlife, and other conservation‑minded organizations.
Rockport Wine Festival
One of the most popular things to do in Rockport, Tx is the Rockport Wine Festival. Sample hundreds of varieties of wines, enjoy food demonstrations and shop at the unique vendor booths – all while live music plays in the background! This year the Rockport Wine Festival will be held May 28th starting at 2 pm.
Rockport Art Festival
Experience the talents of local artists July 2nd and 3rd at the Rockport Festival Grounds. This much‑loved festival features over 120 artists, live music, delicious food, an air‑conditioned party tent, kids’ activities, and more. All the fun takes place steps away from Aransas Bay and Rockport Beach Park! The Rockport Art Festival, sometimes referred to as ArtFest, is an annual favorite.
Rockport Hummerbird Celebration
The annual HummerBird Celebration is slated for September 15th through 18th in the charming and friendly coastal towns of Rockport and Fulton. The festival celebrates the spectacular fall migration of the Ruby‑throated hummingbird through the area, first documented by Connie Hagar in 1938. The Celebration is fun, educational and inspiring, with something for everyone. If you enjoy any aspect of nature, this event is for you. The Rockport Hummerbird Celebration includes workshops and presentations about all the birds and wildlife found on the Gulf Coast.
Rockport‑Fulton Seafair
An area tradition for over 40 years, Seafair is a celebration of life on the Gulf Coast. Scheduled for October 7th – 9th, this family‑oriented event has become a favorite for all of South Texas. Don’t miss the expanded boat and outdoor show or the hilarious live crab races. The Arts and Crafts and Seafair Market Vendors showcase more than 120 vendors!
